LifeProof: A Phone Case for your Travel Adventures

We adventure to far off destinations, places unknown to us and places that show just how beautiful this world is. Over the four years that we have been traveling we have collected so many memories that it is hard to make space in our heads for them all! So far we have already been to over 200 destinations in fifty countries around the world. Each one gave us a special experience, and we want to be able to look back with clarity on every single one.The only way to do this is to capture these moments in photos and videos, so that we can relive them over and over again. So when LifeProof sent us their newest case (which promised to be snow-proof, sand-proof and drop-proof) we were excited to put it to the test! They also prompted us to reflect on our life and to try and understand what exactly drives us to adventure. A question, whose answer is always changing and evolving :)We go on these adventures because we’re curious. We’re curious about life and how other people live. We are curious about how different things from around the world taste, and what the far flung places that most people only see on the internet actually look like. We want to understand what makes cultures different, and see what we can learn from them. To us, life itself is an adventure – something to be grasped with both hands.

The thrill of discovering new things is a powerful one. Seeing, tasting and understanding the world quickly becomes an addiction, but one that makes us more complete as people. As we put ourselves in strange places, we learn not just about the world, but about ourselves as well. Adventures are not just fun things to do, they are opportunities to grow. Some people collect clothes or books, we collect experiences.Retaining these experiences is very important to us. We have plenty of memories stored inside our brains, but having something tangible to look at - to jog our memories when we want to reminisce and bring back the all the beautiful details - is invaluable.

Of course the best adventures are not always the most technology friendly. Whether it's sand, mud or snow, nature presents plenty of dangers to the careless traveller and their gadgets. Knowing that I can take my phone out and snap photos on top of a massive sand dune in the remote deserts of Abu Dhabi, that I can snap photos in a snowstorm on an Icelandic glacier, without having to worry, and even knowing that my phone is safe, if someone bumps me on a canal in Amsterdam and I drop my phone, is a huge advantage.  It allows us to focus on the moment – and capture it – instead of worrying about mundane practicalities. It lets us adventure on with fewer limits, and treat our phone like an actual tool rather than a precious liability.
