Tumi

Hotel reviews, stays, and stories.

A handle broke on one of our bags, we walked it into the nearest TUMI store, and they fixed it while we waited. No shipping it away, no weeks without it. That is most of why we keep buying them. The Latitude hard cases are the lightest we’ve found that still feel solid — the shell is built to bend instead of crack, and ours came in a blush that’s easy to spot on the carousel. The 19 Degree aluminum ones are the opposite bet: they dent, you’re meant to let them, and TUMI includes vintage-style stickers to lean into it. Neither is scratch-proof, and TUMI sells a cover for the aluminum but not for the Latitude, so we bought those elsewhere. We got the short Latitude for both kids, on the assumption they’ll still be using them in ten years.

About No Destinations

No Destinations is the travel blog of Chris & Danika Garlotta. In 2014, we quit our jobs, sold everything, rented out our house in San Francisco, and boarded a one-way flight to Europe. That decision turned into four years traveling the world full-time, visiting over 250 destinations and sharing our favorites hotels, restaurants, cruises, and experiences along the way.
